Women’s Domestic Abuse Helpline (WDAH)
The helpline has extended its opening hours on Tuesdays. You can call in confidence from 10am to 7pm, on 0161 636 7525. You can also call this number, Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 4pm. The Helpline also runs an Urdu and Punjabi service on Mondays and Tuesday, from 10am to 1pm, and on Wednesday from 1pm to 4pm. If you don’t need urgent advice or support, or you’re unsure about phoning, you can use their email, which they will answer within three working days. Write to helpline@independentchoices.org.uk.
Help and support from Manchester City Council
If you are suffering from domestic abuse, you can find out how to get emergency help on the Manchester City Council website. The section on Domestic Violence also includes advice and information on getting the abusive person out of your home, finding a secure home, protecting any children who are involved, and living without your partner. There are also links to other Manchester organisations that can help.

This site offers all kinds of practical help and support, including advice on how to hide your website visits and a simple questionnaire. End the fear also includes numbers to call for men and women who are affected by domestic violence, in addition to a list of support websites.
