- a fully furnished three bedroom house would typically be about £90 a week, compared to £60 for an unfurnished home
- a one bedroom flat would average £67 if it's fully furnished, compared to the basic figure of around £45
- part-furnished packages start from as little as £7.36 a week.
These charges are all eligible for housing benefit. So if you're on a low income you may not need to pay all - or even any - of the rent. (But you might want to work out if you could still afford the rent if you took a new job in the future that meant you got less housing benefit).
Before you apply
If you are already a City South tenant, or were a City South or City Council tenant in the past, you must have paid your rent on time (or kept to an arrears repayment agreement). And you must have kept to your tenancy agreement to take advantage of this great offer.
