Buying your home
Most City South Manchester tenants can buy their home. But you must meet certain conditions - you must have been a tenant for a certain time, and not live in 'specialist' housing such as sheltered accommodation for older people.
If you transferred your tenancy from Manchester City Council in June 2008, you probably have the legal 'right to buy'.
If you became a tenant after the transfer from the City Council you could have the legal 'right to acquire' - as long as you had been a tenant with another not-for-profit landlord for several years.
