Benefits advice

Housing Benefit is paid to people on a low income who rent their home. It can pay some or all of your rent depending on your circumstances - how much you earn, how many children you've got and so on.

However, the benefits system is changing - and these changes will affect many of our tenants. Housing Benefit, and Council Tax Benefit, is paid by Manchester City Council, but you can contact us for information and advice about benefits too.

You can claim benefits by applying online, and you can also can get a calculation to see what benefit you should get. This is the fastest way to get your claim going.
