Many of you told us that we need to reduce the amount of visits it takes to complete a repair.
What we’re doing
We have given our repairs workers more authority and responsibility when they are working at tenants’ homes. For example - if they need a part for a job, they can go ahead and order it, without getting approval from their manager. If that work cannot be done at the time, our repairs workers will give a full explanation and will order the work from site.
From June 2009, our repairs workers will have handheld IT devices to order work and parts directly. This will also help cut down in the amount of visits.
