We know it can be difficult to balance your budget and plan for all kinds of weekly payments, particularly these days. It’s why we link to organisations that can help.
Here you’ll find advice and support from local and national organisations, who can all help you out.
Money made clear
Need clear advice from someone who has a genuine understanding of money matters? Then why not meet one of the Money Guides from ‘Money made clear’ at their weekly surgery. The Guides will be at Turing House every Wednesday from 2 to 4pm, ready to listen and to offer free, impartial financial guidance. Just drop in or make an appointment by calling 0845 437 9479 (calls cost 2p a minute daytime, and 0.5p a minute all other times from a BT landline; other networks vary).
National Debtline
Free confidential and independent advice over the phone, run by the Money Advice Trust. Their site includes fact sheets, sample letters and debt management plans.
Manchester Credit Union
Do you need a loan, or help to beat the credit crunch? Do you have trouble saving, or opening a bank account? Don't go to a loan shark, or let your debts build up. Come and chat to a friendly adviser from Manchester Credit Union.
