If you're unemployed or looking for work, or want to boost your skills to help you find employment then the free services available at The Works are just what you need.
Local jobs - a range of full time and part time vacancies are available with the largest employers in the area, including the universities and hospitals, in administrative work, retail, catering, cleaning, construction, caretaking and IT.
Skills & training - If you need training to help you secure a new job then The Works can offer free training in areas such as CV writing, IT skills, job interview skills, job-specific pre-recruitment training and literacy and numeracy.
Advice & guidance - If you're not sure what kind of job is for you, where to look or what skills you might need then our training and recruitment specialists can offer plenty of advice and guidance to get you on the right track.
Job search - the well-equipped computer suite can be used free of charge for you to job search online, tweak your CV or complete an application. To use the suite you'll need to register with The Works and book a slot.
Self-employment - If you're interested in setting up your own business then we can offer practical advice and support to set you on your way to becoming your own boss.
Financial services and advice - The Works is home to Manchester Credit Union - join today and we can help you take control of your finances and provide a handy, safe and low-cost way of saving, borrowing and protecting your money - even if you have a low credit rating.
