Pests and infestations

Do you have unwanted guests in and around your home? Things like fleas, cockroaches and mice can cause damage and misery. They can be a threat to health and safety too.

Pest infestations we will treat
We can arrange to treat pest infestation and give you expert advice about how to stop them getting in again. We will treat the following pests:

  • rats
  • mice
  • cockroaches
  • fleas
  • bed bugs
  • beetles


Treating other pests
There is a charge to treat most other pests. We will only pay to treat bees and wasps in exceptional circumstances, (e.g. if there is a serious health risk such as a chance of anaphylactic shock) and if you receive full housing benefit. We will not normally treat ants, woodlice or pigeons.

If you have rent arrears
You will not be eligible for this service if you have rent arrears of more than £500. If the rent arrears are below £500 then you must have maintained satisfactory payments for a minimum period of three months.
