People barred from rehousing

Why are people barred?

You could appear on the Rehousing Review List (RRL) for any of these reasons:

  • You are a former tenant with a legal possession order against you and you've not yet satisfied us that you will keep to a tenancy agreement in future.
  • At the end of a tenancy you had arrears or other housing-related debt of £100 or more and you've not yet made satisfactory arrangements to pay.
  • You moved out of a Manchester City Council or City South home, but did not end your tenancy according to the agreement and you've not yet satisfied us that you will keep to an agreement in future.
  • Your past behaviour spoilt the peaceful enjoyment of other residents, or you were violent to or threatened the Council's or City South's staff or agents, or those employed by your previous landlord and you have not yet satisfied us that this would not happen again.
  • You have an unspent conviction for a community offence or are the subject of an Anti Social Behaviour Order or other civil restraining order and we believe you are a significant risk to the community.
  • You intend to live with a person in one of these categories.
