Your tenancy

Your tenancy agreement is a legal contract between you and City South Manchester Housing Trust. It describes your rights and responsibilities, and our rights and responsibilities.

The type of agreement you have depends on your circumstances - how long you have been a tenant, and whether or not you transferred from Manchester City Council to City South in June 2008.

If you transferred from the City Council:
If you had an 'Introductory' tenancy agreement with the Council, you transferred to an Assured shorthold tenancy agreement

If you had a 'Secure' tenancy agreement with the Council, you transferred to an Assured tenancy agreement with protected rights

If you did not transfer from the City Council:
If you have been a tenant for less than 12 months you probably have an Assured shorthold tenancy agreement

If you have been a tenant for more than 12 months you probably have an: Assured tenancy agreement
